hey folks! my first post on the new forum. question: what to do about our grass... should we kill it all when the shtf or let it grow, or manage it by hand. I can see advantages to all the options but wanted to see if yall had thought about it. a shaggy lawn always attracts the bad element but in a hole up situation maybe it would be best to let people think there isnt anyone home.

Well I don't have any grass.

But if I did and the SHTF, I believe I would just sit down and smoke it.

I think keeping grass trimmed might be good to help prevent nesting grounds for rodents after TSHTF.

one of the first cracks will be govt provided services. trash pick up for example. that will draw rodents and bugs. an unkept lawn will only add to the problems. btw, the old fashioned push mowers don't do well on weeds so i would own a gas mower.

hahaha! smoke it! maybe just round up the whole yard and then we can sweep the dirt like my great grandparents use to do!

Certain livestock eat grass. Also when eating the grass they leave behind their calling cards, Fertilizing the land.

You could either thresh it for hay or you could turn it over and start farming! Or buy some goats and let them worry about it.
