Ultimate NV Scope!

My brother is a VP for a major defense contractor in night vision technologies.
He brought by a couple scopes to show me some amazing capabilities and I decided to slap one on my AR for a photo op.
These babies are unreal. I tried to talk him into a family discount but he said they are only available to the US military at $7,500 a copy!

The scope makes your AR-15 look small.

Is it heavy? Whats it like?

There is a smaller version but this one is good out to 1500 meters.
It's all electronic. My bro didn't want me to take pictures of the top buttons and controls.
It weighs 2.5 lbs. - big and heavy but one look and you say wow!, who cares!
It needs no ambient light to work and it looks like a sunny day at midnight.
All the warm targets glow bright through the infrared.

Nice. Looks like some of the "special" ones I saw at the SHOT show. Nice AR by the way.

Deal

p.s. What do you use for optic?

Thanks!
I use a Leupold 4.5 X 14 on the AR.
It's an RRA Coyote Carbine.
Match barrel.
Accurate as hell.
Nutrias hate me.

Both of my hunting partners work for similar companies (defense night optics) and usually bring the latest commercial ones that are allowed out the door every fall. Last year we bolted one to an AR and sighted it in during midday using one of those disposable hand warmers stuck to the bullseye of the target.
The next evening, one of them had a deer get away after being shot and we waited a couple of hours to go find it. No moon, almost completely pitch dark and the carcass stood out like a flare.

Actually, we had taken the device off the rifle and were unarmed when we went searching. But, you are correct.

Wait, TXTim, you got a clip holder attached to the wall of that room you're in?
