Its gonna be a a close call, only 0.0601 AU projected to miss impact. That's only 8.99 million km, or 5.6 million miles.
Unless the calcs are off and it gets closer, or breaks up like that comet that hit Jupiter a while back.
Well, the 15th of Aug. isn't all that far away, well see what happens.

Well, 5.6 million miles is close enough. Now if it were coming in at the distance to the moon (238,857 miles), we would start saying our prayers. Hopefully 24 X the distance to the moon is as close as it will get.
Sorry to say that this will be a Southern hemisphere event for those who may have been interested in watching.

Maybe at the rate things have been going these days, the sooner the better.
