Laid this nine point down from my front porch at first light.

He's on ice and will be run through the grinder and in the freezer before the football game tomorrow!

No shooting from the porch allowed up here in NH. We had opening day yesterday and already one dead hunter. I'll stay clear out of the woods, thank you. Just way too many clueless idiots out there giving all the real hunters a bad name. It's a damn shame.

Nice buck BTW!

Really nice buck. East Tx right? The front porch is the best place to take 'em. It eliminates a lot of hassles. Got to love opening day!! Congrats. :D

Thanks guys!
Here's an interesting picture of a couple of survivors that I caught on the trailcam last night.
I have pictures of different deer from 5 years and like to see how they're doing from year to year.

Dude,

That is so cool.

To shoot a deer off the back porch here you have to use a bow and arrow, with an in-season license, no tag.

Yes it is. If that boy eats his protein, he's got potential to grow a real nice typical rack. Of course you also gotta let him walk this year.

He's 6 1/2 this year - probably prime. He doesn't have the genes to get much better in the rack dept. He will make a lot of hamburger!
They don't eat any of that protien crap, just my garden. They'll walk 2 miles for corn and ignore everything else.

Here he is last year (on the left), after his eye was injured - note that it isn't reflective:

NICE! One eyed Willy looks like he's ripe for the taking too.

Ten days until rifle season opens in MD, I can hardly wait.
