Copper cents liquidation

Copper cents liquidation

Postby wheeler_dealer » Sat Jul 19, 2025 7:29 pm

Due to health issues i will be liquidating my copper cents. Loose and rolled. Any interest here. I also have uncirculated zinc bank boxes from 2008/2009 i will let go for fair price.
Could use suggestions to help move them. Auctioneers want to much commission with no guarantee.
Thanks
P.M. if preferred

It isn’t easy to get rid of cents. I’d feel fortunate just to get face value and not have to pay a fee to have the coins counted. Many banks don’t even have coin counters.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Most Credit Unions still have them.

BUT… I’d imagine there is a fee for non-customers.

You simply avoid the fee by opening an account. You then show some sportsmanship by occasionally making deposits and withdrawals. Been there, done that. And they don't have to be big transactions either.
Buy rolls NOW while you still can!
