THIS IS WHY YOU CHECK THE REJECTS FROM YOUR RYEDALE.....PICS

Postby TheJonasCollegeFund » Fri May 11, 2012 10:38 pm

Going through the reject bucket from 4 $50 bank bags.......I saw a 1934 wheat yesterday when I ran them. I quickly snatched that one before it got lost in the zincs. One of these bags had 380 wheats that fell into the copper pile. I JUST KNEW SOMETHING COOL JUST HAD TO BE IN THE REJECT BUCKET.....!

Kinda beat up a bit....but it's a first for me!!!!!!! I still have half the bucket to go through!!!!!! :D

And the second half of the bucket got me this one.....1915D.....worn but still nice to get a teen with a mintmark!!!!

Is this a fluke or are wheaties regularly rejected with a Ryedale? Do you ever resort the rejects?

Way to go, Jonas! Thanks for sharing the photos of a couple of really cool coins. It motivates me to go to the bank & get some more pennies!

Hey Ryedale I saw you used an Xray on the old wheat pennies to get purities. Silver is on the list in a decent amount.

Using your results how much silver is in a penny and how practical is it to expect these results? Any chance the silver would become worthwhile?

Yeah, and if I followed that there would be a NICE 1909-S VDB still floating around. 8-)

Very nice coins there Jonas, just another example and motivation to leave no stone unturned and keep scanning every coin in the rejects! :D
1909-S VDB Found 3/19/12. Wild IHC's found to date: 38
