Found my first Indian

Postby BlackOut » Sat May 26, 2012 7:06 pm

I don't sort too many pennies, but I have about 50 boxes that I stock piled for a rainy day. I went to bed very early last night and woke up around 2am. I thought, I should at least run a few boxes so I can dump the zinc tomorrow since I had no other banking lined up. On my third box, I'm steady cracking rolls into an empty box and something catches my eye. At first I thought to myself, blank planchet, error, slick, etc, but as I looked closer, I said to myself holy *+=% it is an Indian. It is heavily worn 1906 and it looks like it has seen circulation everyday for the past 106 years, but I am still happy and proud to have found it. I have a few other indians that my mom got me years ago (she got me into. coin collecting), but this is the first one that I have found sorting. Hopefully many more to come...

I can't upload the attchment on my iPhone and photobucket sucks, I can post the img tags and even the link tags won't work.

I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that you found an Indian or the fact that you woke up at 2 am to sort!
