Nice Run of Bags This Week

Postby TheJonasCollegeFund » Thu Sep 20, 2012 11:17 pm

Bank had some bags for me to run. I took eight $50 bags and ran them through the Ryedale.

Total keepers for $400 search.....$157.33 coppers/wheat/canadian/foreign. $242.77 went bank to the dump bank!

Kick but rate of 38+%. I will say the number of wheats are drastically low. Again, I will have more Canadian coppers from this search than wheats!

But 38% over 8 bags is AWESOME. There's some good copper still floating around!!!!!

Got 5 more bags to go get!

Still waiting on my next wheatie hoard bag. Been over a year since I got a 100+ production of wheats in one bag!

Nice, my percentages finally went back to normal. 28% for this week. Last week I was at 7 pennies for $50 . lol Roll searching has been VERY slow for me lately so I told the bank not to order me any for a couple of weeks. Then of course, 5 rosies showed up.

Though I am a small 'hand sorter' ... doing just a few rolls every so often, I too have found the percentage of Wheat Ear Cents really dropping off ... noticeably so, at least for me. I generally used to figure about 10-15 wheats per 25.00 box, but that has dropped recently to only 1 or 2. Canadian cents remain about the same - 3-5 per 25.00 box. I am around 28-30% copper which includes the 1982s that are all weighed and then separated.

Now let's see ... where is that blasted cat! I'm hungry. woof, whine, drool, sniff ... 'here kitty, kitty, kitty, nice kitty. Where are you little kitty?

Good numbers! I may have to get a couple of boxes myself to search. My wheatie hoard tells me that it wants to grow a little bit more ;)

Nice to hear you hit a little copper "vein" in those bags...I've been lucky to maintain a solid 30% for the last several months.

5 bags to pick up in Merrillville.....not Bradley in the morning!

Yep it would be nice to help out lance.........just don't have that much powder laying around!

I will add this though, when I was talking with lance about sorting issues and Ryedale stuff, he wasn't taking the wheats out......so his pile is kinda "unsearched"!

That alone made me want a crack at that pile!

I wish that I could pick up bags instead of boxes. What banks have bags? I live in Michigan, the State that doesn't have any banks that take loose change or have a coin counter in the lobby, lol.
