Is any one finding toy cents. Franklin has found five this year all in shotgun rolls!

Actually they are from the Treasury - they are prototypes of the coming pennies once our currency is further debased. Must have slipped out accidently.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

It would be fun to have the last prototype 1974 aluminum.

I usually get them in shotgun rolls too.. but imagine my surprise when I got one in a Brinks roll. I knew they set those machines kinda loose, but...

I always used to get mad when i found them. How dare they screw me out of a penny..lol. Then I'd throw them in my "cool finds" box and all was good. I have to remember how many dimes I'd find in those shotgun rolls too!

I liked the comment about the treasury accidentally releasing those prototypes. Actually the way the govt is going plastic may be too expensive as the next material..lol.
