Drive Through Pickup

Postby amalekidad » Wed May 01, 2013 10:01 pm

I went to a Chase bank today and asked for 4 boxes of pennies. “Oh, you will need to go through the drive through for that. Just use one of the business lanes.” I drove through, thinking they may have one of those oversized drawers. Nope, they sent out $100 in pennies through the air tube, one box at a time. I think I’m going to be checking at Chase banks more often.

HCBTT, why have not shared this technique with us :?:

Nice! Can you get a Whopper, fries and a Sprite with that?

That must be a huge air tube...have you checked to see how many squirrels you can fit in at one time?

I once picked up 10 boxes of halves from the drive-through back door....Made me real uncomfortable throwing $500 boxes in my pickup bed....never had boxes sent through a tube before....amazed that it would go through.

Wonder how much it costs to have one of those tubes fixed. I think one of you guys is about to find out.

When ever I use tubes it says DO NOT PUT COIN IN TUBE and COINS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED IN DRIVE THRU etc.

But the tubs I use are like 24 oz can size/ monster can shape old fashioned ones?

I tried to send a few rolls of quarters through a tube once and it wouldnt work. I cant believe they can send a whole box through. Ive never been to a Chase before though. Maybe tube technology has improved since Ive last used a bank drive thru. Anyone else done this?

They are not like the normal tubes. They are much bigger and have a much larger base. They box is loose, it does not go inside the little cylinder holder like the normal tubes have.

Anyone ever see that commercial a few years ago where someone sends a bunch of coin in through the tube and it slams into the wall inside the bank and sends coins flying everywhere?

I went to the same drive through again today and asked for $100 in pennies. The teller ‘apologized’ that she only had two boxes, and would that be OK. I said, send them on out. Too bad all ot the banks I go to are not this nice.

One of my Chase banks has a drive-through. I am afraid to ask for a few boxes of pennies there though.. cause I have been dumping at that branch.
