Die Block Error? Need help identifying.

Postby COINJIM » Sun Feb 27, 2011 3:05 pm

Hey I need somebody to tell me if this is a die block error. Its a 1996. It looks like it may have a double rim. You can make out the date with a magnifying glass. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks.

Sorry, even with my magnifying glass, I can't see much.

Sure looks like one. Is the reverse sharp and clear?

I think this would be called a capped die error. All the error coins I get I like to send off to ANACS and have them identified, graded and slabbed. A neat find!! Congrats....
