This is getting ridiculous.....

So I finally started asking for boxes a while back.... No problem with the bank, they give them up without a question, buty're all 2010s. :( So me being the smart guy that I am, I ask for an odd amount ($20) yesterday. Guess what.... 2011 BWRs. :?

What part of the country do you live in, are these Brinks boxes?

Just wondering, nothing like that here in OH.

I'm in South Texas. The 2011s are in brown machine wraps marked "50 C PENNIES" on both ends, nothing in the middle. The 2010s are in white machine rolls marked "50 C, PENNIES, N.F. STRING & SON, INC., HARRISBURG, PA., U.S.A." in the middle; boxes are marked "$25. PENNIES" only. I don't know how to tell who packages/ships what.

Ask for CWR if you are not already doing so. The tellers will love you because they have to recount and rerap them. You are pretty much assured of getting old pennies, plus you get quite a few dimes.

If I ask for box quantities they go to the back and come back with boxes. If I ask for less than box quantities they go to a locking cabinet-looking thing in the front and come back with a plastic bin and pull out the quantity needed. Last time I looked they were all BWR. Nicks I can get CWR, but all the pennies appear to be new. I think I may have to open a few more accounts to try out new banks. I've avoided that until now because I'm a very small-time sorter.

Bring the tellers a box of doughnuts or bagels once every few months and you'd be surprised what they might find for you. Works for me.
