Very weird. Y'think it was used as clearance testing gauge on some type of old machinery? Y'know, like we use Lincoln's head to test our tire tread depth.

looks like someone ran over it with a tractor or some other type of machinery..

BTW..it is a 1927 penny..not '37

No it's definately a'37,ya a framing hammer was my first thought or maybe a vise.

I tried my framing on a copper and a zinc and could not make it look the same as yours. :D
