Umm a first for me, it at least got me a bit excited

Postby ScottyTX » Tue Mar 22, 2011 10:00 pm

Figured I would post it here, Plucked out a AU 1987-p zinc cent from a roll today. Nice coin overall guess I'll have to put it into a 2x2 or something :) Not really that rare but at least it's 10-15% off center. First time for me to find an off-center cent in a roll. I'll have to stick it next to my BU 1992 blank planchet.

Here's a pic just in case anybody cares to take a look. :)

Cool,

Without a picture it didn't happen.

I miss your avatar.

Ahh I'm too lazy to get off the couch while I'm wathing TV on the LapTop to make it over to the scanner at the Desktop in the breakfast room.... Nah busy going over documents for a new Gas well For EXCO energy in the Haynesville shale (Shreveport, LA). I'm looking forward to the 4-5 hr drive early in the morning.

My Avatar hummm, funny you mention it... It's about time I run a contest for sombody to come up with an avatar for me that represents my view of humor, self beliefs and that is "Socially acceptable" for all. Without going into further detail there was a reason beyond my controll that made it disappear. No harm done (for me) just need a new one I guess...

Oh my apologizies, its a 1998-d blank planchet hope that clears it up a bit :D There's only one way to know what year it is, although you can't prove it when/if you sell them.... I'll leave it up in the air and see who can figure it out :) Should be rather easy, if you think about it for a sec.

You got it in a machine-wrapped roll of all brand-new 1998-d dated pennies. What do I win?

Agreed. Love that stuff.
