I know this has been answered before but,what is the average face value of one pound mixed Canadian copper cents?

Depending on mix I get between 168-174. Anyone care to add their 2 cents?

Between 140.12 heavier (1937)
to 181.6 lighter (1996)
calculated from the book, not weighted

If the majority of the mix is from the '60s & 70s then you'll be roughly in the 145 to 155 range. If they are predominately from the '80s & '90s then you'll be in the 160 to 175 range. With this wide of a range the safest and simplest way to buy & sell Canadian bullion pennies is by the pound. This way you know exactly how much copper is involved in the transaction.:D
