My first IH

Postby AlexTG » Fri Sep 10, 2010 10:56 am

My first IH is a 1863. Pictures to come later.

Lucky for me, the coin counter at my local bank is very picky and spits out anything that is even slightly to thick.

That's pretty good. Don't find the Civil War IH's too often. Congrats!!! :D

I can't post any pictures, the camera resolutions isnt high enough. But I can tell you that it is in G to VG condition. Honestly, only things missing are mint luster. Liberty on the headdress and finer details on the leafs.

I gave it to my brother in-law. He is 12 and has a very nice coin collection going. Figure it's the least I can do since he helps me sort coppers.

Wow, congrats. I think that throws you into first place for the earliest Indian Head found for the year. Check out the Indian Head tracking thread if/when it gets put up.

And, if it is a Fine then it is worth about $20.00 or so.

Congrats on the awesome find! Still waiting to find my first one while searching rolls of coins.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:
