Weight of $100 Face

Postby exbingoaddict » Thu May 05, 2011 4:21 pm

Sure this question has been asked and answered plenty of times but I'll throw it out anyway. :P

What is the weight of $100 face in copper cents? For some reason 68 pounds sticks in my head. If it is 68 then your copper weight would be 64.6 (68 *.95)?

Thanks

You are correct. The total weight is about 68 lbs. Of that 68 lbs. about 65 lbs of that is copper. That is why sometimes if you do a little too good of job of packing them for shipment you can go over the 70 lb. limit. All of your packing material has to weigh less than two lbs.
