What are the best ways to count

So now that I am getting into this what is the best way, other than by hand to count? I would like to group them in 50, 100 and bucket lots. I have been looking but I was wondering what other members are doing. Currently I have buckets.

my bulk Cu I store in 34lb bags
that's approx $50. it's a common traded size here.
2 = $100 fv are considered 1 CTU
my keepers I store in rolls.
I have these counter roller funnel type thing.
you fill it till they fall out, and that's .50, then just slip an empty roll on

I do roll my wheats and have a plastic funnel counter like oneguy. But the Cu cents I'm just using the "apx # or $$ per gallon & ammo can" standard for now.

I rigged a counter on to my Ryedale. $50 to a bag.

If I remember correctly it was Lemon Thrower who had a coin counter for sale here a few days ago, don't think he sold it.

yes, its very fast. very good for counting bag quantities for dumps. I also take my coppers and coount out $25 increments and rebox/tape them into bricks for storage.

So what do you currently use if the old one was so fast?

i bought an old counter on ebay for about $250 3 years ago. I came across basically the same thing - different mfr but same thing - in craigs list for $75 so i bought it. i still use the old one but the CL one is the same thing, just as fast, but in newer cleaner condition. the one i had was fine, thought i would make some money flipping the new one. will probably put it on ebay this weekend. the new one is a JCM CS-25.it is a fantastic time saver to count bags either for long term storage or for dumps. counts dimes, cents, nickels, quarters, halves. its designed for a single denomination. if something the wrong size gets in it gets rejected out the side chute and does not get counted or bagged. theoretically you could use it as a sorter but its not designed for that.
