Who is the IL based co similar to coinstar?

Postby rulesforrebels » Tue Jul 12, 2011 11:05 pm

A while back in a post someone linked to this company that sells machines like a coinstar but its a different company.

I geuss you can buy tehir machines or it's like a franchise or something. I wanna say they are based out of mount prospect il but I cant seem to find their site or the name of the company?

I have a buddy who was going to buy a restaurant but things fell through and he's looking to invest in something. Was going to tell him to check this company out. Anyhow, just wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about since I heard about it on here but also since everyone on here are coin people.

That should be easy. Just take a lower percentage cut. 8.9% can't be hard to beat.

We have to work with ryedale to invent a coinstar type of machine that also sorts copper and silver. Heck you might be able to not charge the customer because you can make money on the silver.

You would think coinstar sorts its pulls for copper and silver...if not, the idea should be patented ;)

Coinstar in Canada does--
And from-- http://www.mint.ca/store/dyn/PDFs/RCM_AR07.pdf
Profitable growth in high-margin coinage-related businesses – the
Alloy Recovery Program (ARP) and coin processing and recycling. In
2007, revenues from the ARP increased 84.5% to $35.8 million from
$19.4 million in 2006, driven primarily by record nickel metal prices.
Working together with Coinstar International Inc., 684 million coins
were recycled to generate revenue of $1 million and savings of
$2.2 million.

ha!

The government has the coins brought to them in order to recover its money...genius!

Just goes to show how far ahead of the America the Canadians are...Id bet they lose their pennies and nickels completely before we do...they already have plastic money and dollar/2dollar coins...
