Because you are such a new member you may not be aware that you must submit your first IH to the Confirmation Committee for verification. I will PM you my address.

Congrats!

Congrats! Now you have to find a pre-1900 indian head.

Then you will need to find a pre-1865 "fatty" indian head! You know what a "fatty" is...right?

Keep searching 'cause you have goals to meet!

1859 through part of 1864, indian heads were made of copper-nickel. They weighed 4.67 grams versus the bronze 1864 through 1909 that weighed 3.11 grams.

These older ones are FAT. So, they're called fatties! Same weight as the flying eagles, by the way! Same diameter...just fatter!

Good info, thanks.
I'm getting low on my sort stock (only 4 bags left) but hopefully next week I'll pick up another 10 or so bags... Maybe one day...

Congrats on your IH!! It took me 3 years of hand sorting boxes before I found one. Now I found 2 in the same box recently. Good luck on finding more--they seem to come in "bunches".
