Presidency in Washington DC design

Just weird that it has taken me that long to find a proof; I have been sorting for several years.

Nice find...I've found '2' just recently after thousands and thousands searched! Mine were a beautiful 86-s and a 89-s!

Yes, 2009 proofs are 95% copper and were only offered in mint sets and proof sets.

Congratulations! That is a great find, imo.

Congrats on your first, those proofs just jump out at you don't they! I think I've found about a dozen so far.

My son Franklin 14 years old who has autism hand sorts not for the copper just for odd cents. He can not read. He has pulled out six proof this year. A 1977-S , 1983-S, 1988-S, and three 1996-S.

I seem to find a lot of proof halves. I wonder what it takes for someone to accidentally break open a proof set.
