Had a Conn.copper and many lg cents but sold them, so now the oldest cent is a 1857 FE.

See under the Canada numismatic thread, but I just found yesterday what I believe to be an 1589 Double Tournois French coin in a regular CWR of pennies. The picture is over there,

1798 large cent. Bought it in the early 1960s for $2.25 and still have it. Not a gem by anyone's standards and, if submitted, would likely grade about good. Fun to have, though, and has always made me ponder where and why it was spent before ending up in my collection. Most definitely a cent with character.

Again, I still do not believe how I found a 16th century coin in a penny roll that I purchased from some guy, ahead of me, at the bank.

Oldest cent would be an 1865 Indian head that i found in circulation, almost a slick. Amazing to think a coin was in circulation for nearly 145 years
