Hi everyome,

The nightline penny story is going to air on Good Morning American tomorrow morning. Its the same story but it will be hitting a difference audience since its in the morning instead of late at night. It will air between 8-9am (I think) on your local abc chanel.

Just keeping everyone informed.

A truck driver making a pick up at my place of business today brought up the Nightline penny story out of the blue today. I laughed and told him that I sort pennies. He had no clue. He had a million questions for me and I gave him some pointers, but I don't think he understands how much work it really is. Lots of new members on the forum in the last few days, lets see how many stick around.

Now that Kennedy is gone they don't have really anyone on the front lines lobbying for them.

Also with the HR 6162 bill passed congress and the senate do not matter.....They just have to bribe the sec of treasury.

Didn't see the show this morning, but congrats to all that were featured on TV for this story! Pretty cool stuff!!! Adam obviously has the OPSEC angle down, hopefully Joe is able to say the same.

I've read about people fretting about tellers and competition from Joe Six-pack - I don't think either is very likely. American Idol will soon be back in their minds, and anyone motivated enough to try searching will more likely than not get quickly discouraged. I think a more likely reality is there will be another one or more Jackson Metals or Portland Mint type operations inspired by the story, which may impact things us locally if they are near any of us. But the bottom line, anyone reading these threads can't say they weren't warned.

I'd better read less and sort more!

Went to a bank I typically get $50 per week from today. Manager said he saw the story and I could no longer have pennies. So far the contagion has not spread to my other banks.
