Hoard has wanted one of these babies for Christmas for a long time. Rollcracker 3000, something like that.

I made my own. PVC pipe with a slit down the middle, cap on the end. Slide 5 rolls in, slice quickly with razor and dump, breaking the rolls. Patent pending...haha
ETA: Doing this while feeding a Ryedale cuts the sorting time in half. I mean you are opening rolls and sorting at the same time. With practice you can open rolls faster than the Ryedale will sort.

Here's what I ask Santa for every year.. the RollCracker 1000. Weighs in at 1500 pounds.

Too bad it doesn't come in Ryedale Red. There are other roll breaking machines.. but none of them are very cheap.

Or you could use the RollWhacker 1000. Just put a bunch of rolls in a canvas bank bag.. then whack it on the concrete floor several times.. then pour out the loose pennies. This is the budget version most of us can afford.

The DeLaRue quickchange in the credit union lobbies produces bags of loose for me.
