There are 50 of these type of "trap" auctions every week. I'm sure that they spawn some orders, especially via the "Make an offer".

It almost looks as if the edges were rolled in to cover the text around the rim. I wonder if it is correct diameter.

You know, I don't know if someone is just putting you on or they think that these kind of coins have some value. First thing that came to mind was that I found a few of these in my sorting and hence they ain't that rare. Trying to pass the time guys, so kick this one around for whatever it is worth. Sorting gets boring sometimes and it is always encouraging to see if you find something cool. This coin is not that much cool.

There were 6 offers on this. I'd love to see what they were.

I tried to put in an offer of .01 as there is free shipping.

If you use the zoom feature the words are partially visable. Either edges were rolled or some type of beisal was placed around it.

Hammered one out this evening. About 10 minutes including dressing the outer rim with an extra fine sharpening wheel. Found a similar 1961 dime last month.
