I've seen a lot on the smaller scales like "popcicle stick" for weighing one coin at a time. What does everybody use for weighing CTUs and things? I was at Lowe's the other day and they took me to the bathroom scales. Doesn't seem reliable enough to me.

Don't bother with a bathroom scale. Even the ones that read in 10ths of a pound have less than 1/2lb resolution.

For the most part, you either get capacity or resolution accuracy, not both. You can get 400lb capacity scales that measure to 0.2lb resolution or you get 30lb capacity scales that measure to 0.05lb resolution.

Or, you pay for performance.

I use a 150 lb scale that I bought from a national sporting goods store...in the camping food section...next to the meat grinders. $50.

I bought a used Toledo scale off e-bay. 100lb capacity.

Thanks for the advice. Wasn't sure where to look. Would never have thought Sams club or a sporting goods store. Makes sense now though.
