Anyone done this before? Can't seem to find out how much is legal to ship, and how I would go about shipping it (customs forms etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can only ship $5 at a time with out problems. You are allowed to ship I think (DONT quote me) $100 for numismatic uses, but good luck proving that one.

If you're from the US, I suspect the limit is $5.00. That's the legal limit over which you can't export nickels. You might be able to get away with it if you mark it as "Junk copper." Have you checked shipping rates? Heavy stuff.

The limit on the flat rate envelope for international is 4 Lbs. (Canada - $11.45, world - $13.45)

The limit on the flat rate box for international is 20 Lbs. (Canada - $26.95, world - $43.45)

http://www.usps.com/prices/priority-mai ... prices.htm

Not sure how UPS or DHL would compare.

That's doesn't say for how long. $100 per person ? per life ? per year ? per package ?
How they are going to know/prove that you send another $100 6 month ago...

I think I'm gonna try sending 18 pounds in the medium flat rate, and put numismatic on the customs form. If they ship it back then it sucks, but atleast we'll all know if this is something feasible beyond the $43 it costs to ship $26.28 in copper to someone halfway around the world.
