Didn't look at it clearly until I had it outside of the bank. When the sunlight hit it I could tell they were all brand new zinc rolls.

Not sure who it's from... it has 50 holes in the top of the box... Garda or Loomis?

Will 50 rolls of 2012 pennies be worth anything one day?

It sucks. :x

Thanks guys. I guess there are collecters out there. Oh well, it's only $25... I'll keep them.

I'd still rather have the coppers though :)

who buys these rolls? error hunters? aren't errors less likely these days, not counting the more detailed pressings like the 2009's and the state quarters etc.? what's up with this?

Wow, this blow my mind that people would pay that much for 2012s.

At least there is a market for those 2012's right now. My last 5 boxes have been almost entirely new 2011-D's. No one wants those. I sorted out a grand total of 4 copper cents from these 5 boxes. Big time skunk. I switched back to doing CWRs yesterday.

Over the last several weeks I have been getting handed box after box of 2011 all new. Yesterday it switched to mostly 2011s with some dirty non copper in the mix. I think my source bank is now tanted by a zinc dumper. Unfortunately it could be me. Over the last month or so I have been forced to dump at my source but they ship them out to another city and don't reroll their own. I'm guessing the month or so of me dumping has started to catch up to me. No kidding, they are the exact mix of 80% shiny 2011s mixed with the 20% dirty zincs I have been dumping. I skunked myself ? I bet I did. Oh well, I just tap the other three banks I use.

Keep stacking.

if you get a box of 2012 sell NOW, because soon they will be more common. for some reason collectors on ebay are not patient enough to wait 6 months for mor boxes to appear.

I have 5 boxes of new 2011P. I will eventually look through those for errors/varieties, as there are a bunch of error/varieties for 2011P. None for 2011D though that I am aware of, but you never know a new one could be found.

+1

If you were going to dump them anyway, you might as well try to make a few bucks selling them on eBay.
