The adrenaline rush

Postby njoElec » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:44 pm

Do any of you get that adreneline rush before you pick up a box of pennies at the bank?

Geeze, I got one just asking for some halves even though the teller didn't have any.

all I can say is that I love that feeling, even if I don't get anything that I'm after :D

A bit the same, but I like better the X-MAs feeling of opening the box. Are the rolls machine wrapped, or hand-rolled, old wrappers etc...

Cheers.

I find the rush occurs sometime after 10 or so minutes when sorting. The constant findings increase the buzz, levelling off so thereafter.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

You been too close to these coins?

I like when the Cu sort pile is bigger than the zinc pile. I hand sort and was doing a $25 machine wrapped box yesterday and hit a 62% Cu roll, then a 70%, then a 72%! Ended up with 8 rolls 50% or better. The box was 33.6% (817 Cu, 15 Wheat, 8 Cu Canadian), not counting the '82's that I don't keep.

I got my arenaline rush last year when I found a 1909S VDB in a brinks box. Now that just makes you want to sort more. I made a profit of $499.99 and the hits just keep on coming.

That is an outstanding percentage and I think you are missing a great opportunity with the 82's but still I would kill for that percentage. The 82's have account for 2.1% of the 19.06% average I get in Western Tennessee.
