Still in shock and keep looking at it to be sure, but I just plucked a 1909-S VDB out of my ryedale reject pile!!! Took some pictures on my phone as best I could but I can't get the file size under the allowed limit. What's the best way to get these pics loaded on here? I am dying to show you guys

I know I know,I'm working on pics, hah! I am just going to take the quality down far enough so it fits under the limit and get something up here!

Ok so I know the pictures aren't the best, I'm no member of the geek squad. But There is a clear "S" on the front, and clear "VDB" on the back!

Yikes, I have no idea why those pics are so awfully zoomed in, they aren't like that in my saved file.

So I know it's tough to tell from pics, but is there any chance it could be fake? Any signs I should look for to verify the coin. I plan to take it into my local coin guy ASAP.

Another try at a picture...the color is off, but it somehow made for a good shot of the "VDB"

For those having a hard time looking at the pics, just right-click on each one and then select 'view image.' It should give you a pic that fits your screen.
As to your find... HOLY MOLY! This is wonderful. Trying to put myself in your shoes... I have one piece of advice. Send it in to be authenticated/graded. No matter what else you intend to do with it, you gotta send it in. Just to know!

I have done some searching on spotting a fake, and from all the signs that are checked, my coin looks authentic! Here is the thread I was comparing to:

I believe it was marine70. There was a threa somewhere a good while back

Come on guys. This won't be the last one found in the wild. People are sliding fresh goodies back into circulation all the time. One day someone might find this same penny after jacer333's kids dump it in a Coinstar.

Congratulations! Fingers crossed it comes back graded authentic, and that the person grading it had a good breakfast and is in a chipper mood, and grades on the high end.
