Getting sabatoged with CWR

I call them pucks but others might call them something else. Two pennies glued together. I'm getting one per 30 rolls of CWR (out of a total 400+ rolls). I believe someone is deliberately sabotaging me!

Anyone else getting an influx of pucks?

Seen up to 4 stuck together. Figure the random dimes make up for it.

You think someone's gluing them on purpose? I thought they were just naturally clammed together somehow. Some people have too much time on their hands, I guess. (unlike penny handsorters)

8-)

Why worry about it, unless you're using a ryedale? Just make sure to put them in a roll and not through a counting machine otherwise they may not be counted...

I found them often. You can tell when you have one circling the feeder.

I don't know Morse. Sure I usually get the one or two per batch but I have thrown out 12 of these things and I'm not half way through sorting. It just seems like too much of a coincidence!

And yeah, I am using a Ryedale so when I fill the coin cup up and about 5 seconds later there's a patterned feed abnormality it cuts into the sort times because I'm waiting to pluck the puck! What a PITA

I call them "2 cent pieces." They happen all the time. The easy solution is to just have your coins feed into the Ryedale through a slot machine auxilary hopper or through a coin counter to eliminate them from the Ryedale's food chain. This also eliminates the bent coins from the feed.

Whenever I find two cents smashed together it's usually from old chewing gum or dried soda. Nasty!
