Picked up my 10 Fed boxes today, this one had 6 rolls with wheats showing on both ends and weighed (15#, 4.7 oz.) I figure it has about 950 coppers, going to sort the other 9 boxes first and let the suspense grow.

I'mm enjoying hand sorting , I did ten rolls today - look at this
44 - Wheats
297 - coppers
159 - zinc
and 40 more rolls to go, you wouldn't believe the condition of all the wheats and coppers, figure this from a brinks box

Final tally of the 25.00 Brinks Box: (2500 pennies)
There were a total of 1107 coppers and included in this were 237 wheats
Total coppers were 44%
One IH 1908 my first since 1957 and a lot of 1930's and 40;s all in good condition, some even shiny -sorry it took so long for the final count, but after I started and saw what was happening, I would reward myself from my usual $250.00/week @ 23% and go back to a roll from my "super box" and only imagine, what if all brinks boxes were like this ?
So I ask this question, what does great sex and a 15 lb, 4.7 box of pennies have in common?

I now know the answer!!

Hell I've been married 23 years and by the time you invest in crisco and strobe light bulbs, not to mention ear plugs and hot sauce, you're in in way more than 25 bucks!

had a very similar experience like this last week. i stopped at a "Bank of the Ozarks" which is not a bank i normally go to and asked the lady if she had a box of pennies i could buy. she gave me this weird look like why in the world would i want that and i explained i look for wheats (i dont bother mentioning my copper hoarding. people look at me like im crazy when i do). she told me she didnt have a box but she had some rolls i could have and pulls up the first couple from under her station. as she slid them across the counter i saw wheats on both ends. i got all excited and flipped em around. wheats on the other side. needless to say i bought all the rolls she had which as it turned out was $25. i get home and do a quick sort by which ones have a wheat on at least 1 end then a separate pile for the rolls with wheats on both sides. started with the rolls not showing wheats and ended on the rolls showing on both ends. those last rolls.... oh goodness.. i was looking at HALF the roll to 3/4ths the roll being wheat. all in all i ended up with $5.50 in WHEAT alone. then another $10 in copper. pretty awesome considering prior to this i only had $0.50 in wheats =)
