Ugly Abes through the Ryedale

Postby amalekidad » Sun Apr 15, 2012 6:30 pm

Loving my new Ryedale
I'm spending lots of time picking out the decroded coins prior to sending
them through.
Am I wasting time? Can Andy's wonder machine take the crappy coins?
Thanks

If the coin is really crappy it is probably zinc, but the Ryedale will handle it anyway. Do not waste a lot of time sorting before.

The Ryedale usually can handle it, but the occasional bent coin or more often the ones with a healthy dose of gummy penny crud on them can cause a jam, so I do try to pick out the worst offenders before loading each handful in.

The Ryedale can take them, just keep the s&p well lubed until it's broken in.

I like to do a quick check before I dump them in.
