Does anyone have a stash of British bronze pennies? Even the old large ones?
By the way, you should check for 1992 in the copper stash. All 1992 bronze pennies came from collector sets.

This idea came from my experiment with putting the decimal pennies through a Ryedale...

Country, that stuff is really cool. I have a binder with everything British I have from before 1860 in it. That era you are saying is about the first full page. And some of my favorite coins. I would like to see what you have sometime. And if you ever wanna sell them cheap to a good home, I promise to take good care of them :)

Hey, someone voted for option 5... care to share what you have? What kind of stuff?

I have over 40 lbs. of '71-'91 British Bronze (97% Cu), but it will have a new owner soon :)

Still hanging on to roughly the same amount of pre-decimal British 97% - working on filling a $1000 Quarters bag with British large pennies. I also have a good sized sack going of non-British 97% Cu Commonwealth countries bronze (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, East Caribbean States, etc).

Nice. Does much of that have a young Victoria on it?

Young Victoria? No I don't think so - maybe a couple culls. There are some older Victorias of course.

Nope, but I got one recently in half dollar rolls, interesting how that penny was the same size as a U.S. half dollar.

I love British bronze, but I don't have enough FRNs to put myself in the 4th or 5th category. I've got a few pounds of pennies and halfpennies. I also have some South African and Australian bronze. I just love the big old British empire pennies. I also like British halfpenny tokens from the 1790s, but I don't have too many of those.
