Kinda dissapointed though...i sorted all my handsorted coppers with the ryedale and bagged them outta the tub so i could weigh them...just seems like i woulda had more...a total of $611.46 APPROX. I guess i just gotta think positive and realize i have over $1200 worth of copper...gonna keep stacking and not worry about weight so much...just stack stack stack

As a small-time hand-sorter, I'm in awe at what you've got.

Serious.

So just curious - did the Ryedale have any rejects from your hand-sorting, and if so, how many and of what type?

Gee...only 1200 worth of copper...I feel SO bad for you! I sure wish I had that amount.

I do agree though, keep on stacking!

Way to use that Ryedale though, think of all the screwing around hand sorting is when you can just hand sort the copper if you want. Let the machine pay for itself and hope your percentages are always good.

Have you found enough to keep the Ryedale happy!

Have you found a good bag source yet????

You'll find some from the 70s that ARE copper, just a little different alloy than your standard penny. No reason to toss them from the hoard.

I noticed in my last $300 or so, 70's Canadians are being kicked out as well. Did the US mint any pennies for Canada?

my first copper was a CTU bought from feebay(rydale sorted). I opened the box and saw wheats, so handsorted the whole thing. now i handsort and stack. just strikes me funny that some machine sort already handsorted pennies and vice-versa.

No. Similar alloy variances though in Canada.
