Has any one seen a drop off in Canadian cents yet. We are still pulling the same amount here in Oregon as last year. So it will be fun to see when Canada start the furnace later this year if we see a drop off in Canadian cents.

Well my favourite pick up bank called me yesterday to tell me they just got in $850 in pennies from one guy. He is dumping all his coins and has been hoarding for 30+ years. Im going back for the others tomorrow. It will be a while before they are gone from north of the boarder and Im guessing the ones that went south will still be there a bit longer.

Wait... he's been hoarding for years... and now, right before the time when these coins will have a premium... he gets rid of them?!?

How can you say it will be fun to see fewer free coins when you make your returns?

Good point . Fun might not be the right word. So it is odd that we still find German and French coins all the time after all the years that they have been on the Euro.

Most people don't care about the penny. I wouldn't be surprised to see more people amping up the return process, rather than withdrawing them to hoard.
