My uncle died approximately one month ago. He has a military foot locker full of rolled pennies.

Question: How many rolls of pennies can go into the foot locker?.

I live in East Tennessee. My uncle lived in Charleston, SC.

It has been five or six years since I was last there.

I have no photographs of the foot locker with the pennies.

You would probably break the footlocker if you were to somehow lift it.

Easily 400lbs+.

^ Yeah - what he said.
I think it could be packed closer to $800 if it's full.

Not that it makes any difference on how many are in the locker but are they coppers or wheats?

My uncle actually had two of the penny collections in two military foot locker.

About twenty years ago, he sold at face value the entire contents to a cousin
of mine.

My uncle rolled them according to their year and to their mint marks of "S" or "P"
or "D"

I hope to obtain them and bring them back to East Tennessee.

This is a cool story. I am fairly jealous. Also interested in hearing if you find anything special.

Yea, I'd say about $800. Dont try lifting that though, you're bound to have a mess.

Don't ruin the foot locker. That's a little piece of your history.

I will be visiting Charleston in November. Is this still there? Are you interested in selling part of it off? Have you gotten it over to TN?

I had seven hundred and fifty dollars in mine but they were in brinks boxes. If they are just rolls it could be a thousand.
