Small Trend

I've noticed a larger than normal amount of Canadian copper/steel cents in the last month or so. These are customer coins at the bank. 20 to 30 per bag was normal. I am seeing some bags with 100 or so now.

Last bag had 18 George VI's alone! :D

Anyone else notice any difference going on?

I've been finding about 6% Canadian in my boxes as of late (both strings and brinks) this is roughly 3 times what I am accustom to finding. Averaging 1 George V per box which doesn't hurt

I opened my mouth too soon! Just picked up 4 bags yesterday and I did my pre-search. I didn't see my usual average let alone the spike! This pre-search is to pick out those coins that will jam up the Ryedale. I usually grab any wheat or foreign if I see them. An example of what I pick out.......My banks machine has a history of giving me a dime a bag which seems to have been stuck in their machine for some time. It is rounder and thinner and nicked up. This shape of dime loves to jam up the flywheel with another penny. Also, I've gotten 3 smashed pennies recently. Another jam issue. 1 from NC...1 from Azizona...1 from Cali....funny collection....I'm just southeast of Chicago!!!!
