I was in Downtown Dener last week on a business trip. I got a 1944 D in my change at a convenient store literally 2 blocks from the Denver mint. After 68 years it ends up 2 blocks from where it was originally struck. One of the things I love about coin collecting/accumulating is the story behind these coins, where they have been, who has held them etc. It was just really neat to get this coin in the place I did.

When I was in high school I wrote "Happy 16th b-day Cameron" on a $1 bill and gave it to my friend. 5 years later(and 500 mi. away) Cameron was helping a friend count the money in his change jar and found that $1 , he kept it after that :)
