I just wanted to show off some of my latest engraving work which I have been selling on e-bay. It is the only honest way I can sell an average or worse penny for sometimes over 40 bucks. :P The coin-wolf, and copperhead snake are up right now at pretty cheap starting bids if anyone is interested! ;)

$81, cool. Do you mind if I ask how much time the wolf took to carve? I watched some hobo nickel carving vids on youtube and now i need to find a place where I can get a good deal on one of those spinning coin vice setups.

Nice work Andy. Your work is much better than when you started. And your coins looked great then.....so now they are amazing.

I don't know how long they take to carve but that wolf did not take very long. I just looked at my dog who is mixed with wolf and it came easily. I have been thinking of timing myself but I want to keep it fun for me to do. It is very good for my mental health like meditation. Gave the nice model a few nice chunks of cow for her work, she earned it!

Check e-bay for a ball vise. That is one tool that really helps. They sometimes go for pretty cheap. Good tools can be expensive for engraving but they hold their resale value well even if they are really old. For example I bought a bunch of old hand gravers and then resold the ones I did not want and made a profit.

I have been playing with this as a hobby for a couple years now.

Yea I have been progressing pretty well since I got some good magnification, I will do another Darth Vader one of these days now that I am better at it. I sign my initials on the rim of all the coins I carve now.

Thanks again!
