what to use
Posted: Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:01 amI was wondering what I should use to carry my pennies out of the bank. I'm going to order something like $300 worth, but I don't want to make 6 trips to the car. ideas?

The tellers will think you are sportin' something when you wheel on in with that setup....dont forget your posse or a couple of friends depending on where your P/U's are.

Posted: Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:56 amI usually make the 3 trips of $100 each. No biggie. But I'm a young buck and can handle $150 pretty easily. Take a 2-wheel dolly to make it easier.

I'm older and I do multi-trips.. 4 boxes at a time. That way I get exercise. The big thing is doing 4 boxes of halves. The cardboard slides too much so I only do 2.

Posted: Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:41 amI have a rubbermaid dolly that is rated at 500lbs. Picked it up at Home Depot. It held up to 750lbs on more than one occasion.

Posted: Sat Jun 23, 2012 1:37 amWell you could do it in 2 trips if you had a couple of sturdy bags like I use. But for bigger pickups the flat bottom dolly works really well. Mine is in the trunk now in case I get lucky on some drivebys tomorrow morning. It has 660 lb. capacity.

I just stacked 5 x $1000 bags (49.6 x 5=248#) plus 5 x $50 bags (34 x 5=170#) on it and delivered to the bank. It folds up and fits nicely in the trunk. What is also nice is when you fold it up and are carrying it... it is less suspecting than a guy (see description) walking around with a full dolly/handtruck.
I can see how eventually the folding/upright bar might become loose. I'm just going to PULL the cart instead of pushing it. I hope that will cut down on it becoming that way.
