Last week I couldn't make it to the bank and was kicking myself for not keeping some boxes somewhere.. so saturday I went by the bank and picked up $100 to keep for a time when I can't get by the bank. do you keep a reserve? if so, how much?

It's always a good idea to keep a few small stacks scattered around for reserves so that does not happen to you. If I were to ever get to the bottom of the stacks I suppose I could probably scrape up a few boxes out of the trunks of the cars.

That's a nice looking reserve! I consider my little hoard my own reserve, coupled with some silver and a modest savings account. I will keep adding to my hoard, making it LARGER over time. Nickel stash is twice as big as my pennies, but hopefully, that will be changing during the next several months

I thought the $500 I keep in the garage was a large reserve stash... But I bow to those that have larger ambitions than I do...

Its made of cellcast acrylic AKA plexiglass

on an earlier post I stated on my first vacation in about a year, I decided to build up a reserve. five days of hitting my credit union branches. I work over 60 hours a week and dont have much time to sort(wish it was different, but I am rather fond of eating, and such) was not so much of a reserve thing, but having rolls to sort from an earlier time not contaminated with 2o12s. So from the 1st week of may I have about $400 of CWRs left to sort. works for me cause I only have time to handsort about $50 each weekend. My goal is to have a stash to still sort when all the coppers are gone.
