If the coin is very worn, it'll be hard to tell for sure. Either way you picked up a 1922. And for that I say congrats.

Congrats. Fantastic find! Are you thinking about having it certified? I would just so there would be no doubt about it being authentic. Even well worn, could be worth a few hundred.

Here is the obverse.....I was trying to catch as much "D" as I could w/ natural light.

Does that mean there is "D"? I don't see one.

Here are my thoughts:
-100% authentic coin
-The date numerals look correct
-There is a VERY weak D on the coin (if someone is going to fake a No D they are going to remove all of the D)
-Very Fine shallow micro pitting (generlaized all surfaces)
-It fits nicely as a type 3 die pair
-TRUST is weak but sharper than IN GOD WE.
-UNUM is mushy
-L in LIBERTY butts up against the rim
-The reverse is slightly rotated counterclockwise (10deg tops)
-Reverse looks wavy with depth running verticaly.
Conclusion: Nice coin. If sent to PCGS it would come back Ino my opinion: "PCGS 1922-D Genuine G-VG Details Weak D"

Not going to send it in to be graded, maybe a good KSA tease, so keep an eye out.

Type 3 from what I can tell.
