What's the most you'd be willing to pay for 1 AV oz copper rounds?

A friend of mine is looking to order a couple thousand 1 oz rounds, and I'm trying to do a little market research to see what most people would pay for them.

i pay 2 bucks or less but i have seen people on ebay paying up to 20 mostly for the tea party rounds.

I'm planning to make a sizable copper round purchase in December. I might set up a Realcent group buy if there is enough interest...

I will, It's going to be January till he gets them. That is if he is able to do it or not.

wow, copper rounds seem much more prevalent these days. Does anybody really see a market for them with that kind of premium?

I would be interested to see if there is a market that you would be able to sell at a later date for a premium.

How do you define copper round? You could take a copper bar stock and saw rounds out of them.

Probably be interested in some, depending on cost. Need some diversity though.

Very little unless it was something special like the Lacota round that were/ are on here

Forgive me since I'm new and all (I posted in the other forum); maybe I'm just missing something here....but if these are 1-oz rounds and there is 16oz to a pound, then that would be $24 per pound, assuming everyone buys them at $1.50 each. The price of copper is currently around $3.75/pound. Am I missing something here? I can see maybe $1 over spot per 1-oz round, of course, but not much more then that.

That Lacota round is beautiful.

What would be depicted on the copper round?

I buy all the copper rounds I need for a penny a piece.

if you can see $1 over spot per 1oz that would be about $1.25 so why cant you see $1.25 over spot to bring it to the $1.50 per round that most will pay and dont forget the cost it takes to make these rounds

Hmmm..still, that's an actual $24 for 16oz of copper rounds (at $1.50 each). Hmm...I think I'll stick with silver rounds.

hpmbtt there is nothing wrong with a little diversity search copper rounds on ebay and look at what people are paying......alot more that a $1.50.i agree with buying ag but if you could make a few bucks on copper rounds why not do it its no different that people that buy ag art bars or collectible ag rounds ex. the norfed ron paul round selling upwards of $60.granted the copper rounds depend on the design if its generic and has no meening then it will probly never be worth much but some of the community dollars,lakota,tea party rounds will be worth more

Hmm...you make a good point, jasmatk. After all, I do like the collectible side of things, whether one is into coins, stamps, beanie babies or whatever. Kind of reminds me of that guy who bought that used Denver Mint machine and created a lot of the Amero rounds. Daniel Carr, I believe it was. Unique designs. I guess it all boils down to what you like or don't like to collect etc.

It would be almost the same as the barter is better round, which I think the same company that makes Lakota's rounds makes the barter is better rounds. Very similar reverse on both of those. But it would have his craigslist type website (Barter-Trader.com) On the back. He's looking to really renovate the site, and get it going to the point where people are bartering for everything. Which I believe a majority of us already do, or will be doing once TSHTF.

How do you put a price on art? I consider the copper bars and/or rounds that I have as art work. And they are well worth a premium!

Yes, jasmatk made some good points above. And you also have the art work aspect as well. Thanks to both of you for pointing out something that I couldn't see at first.
