Am I missing something, why would anyone buy copper bullion in this form? Copper would have to jump from $4 to $33 just to equal the melt value. These place have a 900% markup on each oz. over the current spot price.

The next time I order from them, I will probably pick up a couple just for the novelty of it. But, other than as a curiosity, I'm not sure why people would want to buy a lot of them. Is there any reason I should be buying them?

Buy the ones with a unique or meaningful design as they are and will be worth more its not all about the copper value, ive used this example before but look at the 2009 tea party rounds they keep rising in value if its some generic round its probly not going to fetch a big premium just my opinion

Thanks- that makes sense. I'm used to trying to get silver around spot that sometimes I don't even think about things having value beyond melt. I suppose I could apply this line of reasoning to my silver Britannias. I pay way over spot for them, but I love them so much I don't even care. Like I said, I will buy some of them just because there is no way I can resist a cool-looking, pure copper coin for a couple bucks. 8-)

I put those same rounds on sale for $1.75 this weekend. Already sold several hundred. Only have about 150 left. They may be generic, but they're still quite popular.
