Double die!!!

I knew it the very moment I turned it over. I have always wondered if I missed one or if I was looking for the doubling at the right spot, but now I know the feeling (the "one cent" is very doubled!) 1983 double die in the wild and it is in decent condition! Attaching the pics shortly as right now I am enjoying the moment ...

That brings up a great question...what "zincolns" do you look for outside wide, close AMs, 83 s, 84 s, 94 s and 95 s doubles. I know there is a list, but what do each of you hand sorters look to pull? I don't really look at the coppers for errors, they get stored for review later in life!

I flip over every 83, and almost gave up. Now I dont have to think Im wasting time. you gave us handsorters hope!(the word HOPE is NOT associated, nor meant to be affiliated with the obama campaign any use or misuse of the word hope is the sole responsibility of the reader tax tag title dmv extra) Damn disclaimers :x

WOW>> Sweet!!!
Hmmmm I Never look for errors when handsorting,,, guess maybe I should start.
Now if something a little different just jumps out at me, I do lay it aside and put in a possible error box, but never take the time to check while searching. Guess I need to look at the list and print it out to have beside me when sorting...
I think after seeing this I will make some effort to do so, but, realistically, how many of you actually find errors while handsorting?

I looked for the error, but really couldn't tell. The photo seems out of focus, kinda blurry. Everything seemed doubled........

Congrats on the great find!!!!! :D

I've been wondering if anyone ever finds these doubles, congrats!!

Since I hand sort, a while back I decided that if I was going to touch every zincoln anyway, I might as well look for errors. I check for these 83 dds, 92 close AM, 98-00 wide AM.

Just because we are on the subject......last night I found a 1972 1DO-003.

A common double die for 1972. It does not have the cool doubling of the date but it has great doubling of 'IN GOD WE TRUST".

Pics later tonight.
