Hello All,

I have been deployed in Iraq for a year and am finally getting back into my old hobbies. I see the forums have moved, but it looks like there is still some good chatter about one of favorite hobbies. Well, i just wanted to say hi.

Thanks for the kind replies. I have been fortunate to be in Iraq, and not in Afghanistan where the real heroes of these wars are being forged. I do hope you guys have left me a few coppers to sort :)

As a former member of the USAR, God bless your service to our country. It would be interesting to hear your comments on the availability of PM's in Iraq amongst the populace. Were you able to get a gauge on prices of coins, bullion, etc.? My experience in the Third World is that they are often higher due to the flimsyness of the local currency- kinda sounds like our dollar doesn't it?
