Taking the long way home.

I was traveling to see family for the Thanksgiving holiday and decided to hit every bank in every city along the way. It turned a three hour drive into a five hour drive. I hit all the banks I had an account with and the end result was an extra 250 in pennies to sort when I get back home. It was great hitting smaller towns and asking for halves, CWRs and pennies. The wife was understanding and said it's cheaper that a girlfriend. Did anyone else do a little side tracking this week to get more copper? :D

That was a great plan and I love your wife's attitude. :)

Sadly no bank shopping for us yet this week and I doubt I will be getting any coins this week as I haven't had a chance to go through the few rolls I already have on hand and I would need to be able to swap that amount out before I can get anymore. Too much doctor expense lately for the both of us.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

Yea the wife is great. Sorry to hear that your searching is at a pause. It must be that time of year for stuff to happen. My mother had to go to the hospital last Sunday and to our surprise needed surgery that night. She is recovering now and is in good spirits but it came out of the blue. I hope things improve on your end soon.

I got 20 boxes from one bank this week at non extra cost per box! Very nice people at the bank across the street from my office. They let me borrow a cart to wheel it out too!
