Currently the most I have sorted in a day is $600ish. However Thursday I have asked a bank to get me $2300 and I'm going to try to run it all. Anyone have numbers like these or even higher? I am just dumbfounded by the banks eagerness to order them for me. Let's hope I get the same aditude when dumping

Sounds like it could be a long day. Spread the dumps around a little bit so you don't lose any of those all important dump banks. One thing to be careful of when you pick these up is to use the proper vehicle or do multiple trips. That many boxes can be a little rough on the shocks.

That's enough to smooth out the ride on a 3/4 ton truck.

If you are getting 25% copper, that is going to be close to 1500 lbs if they are in boxes. I have ran $800 in a day. I get mine loose in bags and run 4 Ryedales.

$2300 is 92 boxes or 4600 rolls. That is more than I would want to crack open

I think getting all those bags has made you lazy Slick. I used to crack 100 boxes every week. I figured his copper percentage a little lower at around 20% so it should weigh about 1400 pounds.. a full hundred pounds lighter than a RollCracker 1000.

I recently had to clean up my sort room so spent a weekend sorting pennies. I get them in bags thankfully. $1200 dollars. I still am bagging the zincs for the bank and haven't figured out the exact percentage Yet. I'll post a pic of the floor... Bags everywhere. I couldn't have done a fraction of that if it was boxes.

Ive done $75 BY HAND in a marathon of cracking and sorting. I reroll zincs BTW.

$1200 is about all I would want to do in one day if they were boxed. I've done that a few times but, if you start going over $500 as a normal sort you really want to do bags. With just one or two ryedale's it's not about the feeding time, it's about saving your fingers.

I would be interested in knowing all the true records. I.e. most in a day, most in a week, etc.

The math says that when I ran $800 in one day it would have took 2 hours. That is using 2 Scan Coin 313 coin counters prior to using the Ryedales. This clears out 99% of the problem coins. Then running 3 Ryedales with zinc accept and one Ryedale doing a second run with a copper accept.

Actual time was probably closer to 2 1/2 hours. Usually never do you run that long without some sort of jam or problem that has to be corrected.

Most I have done in a day is $250. $100 is usually a big day for me, that $250 was unusual. I enjoy sorting, but it does start to irritate the eyes and back quickly, so then I'll switch to 12oz curls or other sports instead.

Wow. I've never done more than $50 in one day. Of course I'm a handsorter. Still. You are impressive.

$800 in one 24 hour period. But only the first run. I re-run all of the coppers to weed out any sneaky zincs or any that fell from a jam or two!

Here is a picture of the zinc that has to go back to the bank today. 20 bags. When I spoke to a woman at the bank (my usual bank dump girl is on vacation.) I said... "Do you have a preference for a day I should drop off?" meaning what day do you get a pick up. She wasn't going to tell me, Oh yeah, this is the busiest day of the week for cash. I do understand her predicament. But I need to get rid of my load. No pun intended.
