What is the most common sell quantity for copper cents. I see everything from $100 fv to $5 fv and am wondering if there is a sweet spot for selling and shipping.

$100 face or what we call a CTU (Copper Trade Unit) is the sweet spot for size. Those copper pennies are heavy and it costs a lot to ship them. The medium flat rate box allows you to ship up to 70 pounds anywhere in the country for a low flat rate. I just shipped one out last week to a member that wanted them machine rolled. Total weight came in at 69 pounds, 10.6 ounces.

That flat rate deal is a smokin' deal. With the low value to weight ratio of copper cents the flat rate box is what makes them marketable. Of course local delivery is better if you can do it. Optimum quantity on those is about $600-700 face at a time.

I'm looking to buy a 100 FV CTU in the future. I don't need to have them rolled, loose coin is fine. What is a fair price to pay for these? I've seen various websites selling them.

You'll probably find them cheapest here, $140 shipped.

Or less. I bought 4 CTU's from someone here for $137 each. One CTU for $137 from someone else, and a 4th CTU for $138. But when you can't find em that cheap, $140-$145 is still extremely fair.

So roughly $140 for a CTU? Sounds like a fair price! I will be getting one from a lucky seller in the next few weeks....if anyone can spare one, that is
